April Events at the Library!
April is Earth Month, and the library has a full slate of eco-friendly and creative events and activities for cadets. Get hands-on with creative writing and recycled crafts.

April is also Poetry Month! Throughout April, visit the 2nd floor to try your hand in Black Out Poetry. Use recycled books and materials to create unique poetry by blacking out existing text. It's a sustainable way to get creative.

Get those creative juices flowing at the Environmental Free Write on April 11th at 1900 in JH 514. This E20 event provides a space for poetry and creative writing inspired by nature. Black Out poetry materials will be available.

:microphone: Calling all Spoken Word artists! We want you to share your original poetry. We want you to tell us your stories. We want you to read works that mean a lot to you. We want you to sing. Join us for another Open Mic at the Haig on Friday, April 12th at 1900. You can read your own work or read something that moved you that was written by someone else. There is room for ALL Spoken Artists at this event. Come to perform or come to enjoy the artistry of your fellow cadets.

Reduce, reuse, recycle! On April 15th at 1245 in JH 402, craft unique water bottle planters from recycled materials at E20’s Earth Friendly Craft Time. All supplies will be provided for this fun, eco-friendly craft.

Take a study break with Wrigley, the library’s Therapy Dog on Thursday, April 18th from 1230-1330 on the 2nd floor.

On Friday, April 19th at 1900, join us for our monthly Lego Open Studio. This is a casual, unstructured time for Lego enthusiasts to come together and build whatever they can imagine using the library's Lego bricks and pieces. Whether you want to recreate your favorite buildings, vehicles, characters, or create something entirely new, the Open Studio allows you to explore and build freely. It's a great way to relax, get those creative juices flowing, and enjoy the timeless fun of Lego building.
