A guide to the academic majors within the department identifying resources used in the study of human geography, environmental geography, GIS, environmental engineering, and environmental science

Welcome to Physical Geography

Climate     Landforms     Natural Hazards

Physical Geography is for anyone interested in environmental issues, the natural landscapes, resource studies, environmental conflict, global environmental change, or physical geography.  It's a blend of natural science courses that looks at environmental issues from different perspectives.  Cadets choose an emphasis either on the physical landscape or the atmosphere.  Majors are prepared for careers in organizations that analyze and address environmental issues or problems, as well as businesses, government agencies, or NGOs that work in the field of conservation or natural hazards. Physical Geographers are also skillfully positioned to excel in Aviation and Engineering careers.
