Generative Artificial Intelligence

While the terms Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, and ChatGPT are often used interchangeably, they are not the same.  

ChatGPT 3.5 provided the following definitions when prompted:

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the field of computer science focused on creating systems capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence.

Generative AI refers to a subset of artificial intelligence that involves creating models capable of generating new data, images, text, or other content based on patterns learned from existing data.

ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence model developed by OpenAI, designed to engage in natural language conversation and assist users with various queries and tasks.
